Thank you Premier for managing the COVID19 well in Ontario and your support for Bill-104

Dear Hon. Premier Doug Ford:

I appreciate your hardwork and hard choices you made to make Ontario safe from the COVID19 spreading. I also thank you for your support to Ontario BIll-104 (Tamil Genocide Education Week Act). 

I've learned that you plan to participate at Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) hosted Tamil Heritage Month event on Jan 30, 2021 at 7 PM this weekend. As a proud Canadian Tamil living in Ontario, I believe I have an obligation to let you know about this organization's past activity and information about Norway peace facilitator and former minister Erik Solheim as he also takes part at this event. 

First of all, please note that Canadian Tamil Congress only represents its approximately 200 members and it doesn't represent Tamil Canadians. Because of its wrong policies, non-transparent nature in the past, it lost Tamil's trust long ago. As you see in this link https://www.change.org/p/canadian-tamil-congress-board-of-directors-ctc-don-t-admit-rupavahini-sri-lankan-state-propaganda-tool, Tamils had to openly advocate against its collaboration with the Sri Lankan government in the past unfortunately. Undermining justice, CTC collaborated with Sri Lankan rulers behind the scene. Still they failed to admit its wrongdoings. Due to these reasons, CTC lost credibility among Tamils. 

Former minister Erik Solheim knew hundreds of Tamils and Tamil fighters surrendered to the Sri Lankan government right after the May 18, 2009 genocidal war. Most of them surrendered with white flags and were killed. He said he reported it to the UN but failed to reveal that details clearly during that time. Erik also blamed Tamils for not putting a political solution proposal but Tamil leadership put forwarded a federal based interim structure called ISGA (Ref. https://ottawatamilassociation.ca/archive/2018/Sri%20LankasGenocideAgainstTamils_%20Booklet.pdf) in 2004. Instead of getting a response for those proposals, the powers that time decided to help genocidal Sri Lanka which led to destruction of Tamil's nation Tamil Eelam. Now, China owns the whole Island. In the past Erik also tried to whitewash Sri Lanka's crimes, and tried to put blame on Tamils. I also learned that Eric now became as a genocide denier. 

The reason I let you know about it in advance is that at this event they may say the genocide never happened. As you know even after 70 years, still there are few holocaust deniers in the world.In the case of Tamil Genocide, it is unique in the world history of genocides. Ontario provided every opportunity for Tamils to grow and we Canadian Tamils are always thankful and always fully loyal to Canada.

Since justice is denied for Eelam Tamils even at the UN so far, Ontario Bill-104 gave some healing for Tamils in Ontario and their kith and kins in Eelam. It's important that our future generation learn from this unique genocide.

The Introduction of the United States H.Res.413 Resolution and the Tamil Diaspora The United States of America and Tamil diaspora relationship may be entering into a new phase with the introduction of the H.Res.413 resolution. H.Res 413 is calling for an international mechanism for crimes committed in Sri Lanka and also acknowledges the traditional Tamil homeland. This time, the Tamil diaspora should pay more attention to ensure Tamils will be treated as a partner, not just as a tool.
